Boy’s Head Coach for PVAC

Job Description: To coach age group swimmers for a SAL winter swim team. Season will run from October to February. Attend at least three or more practices per week. Attend all boy meets, invitational and Championship (Division and Leagues). Create lineup for all boys meets. Participation in the club’s Fall invitational. This is a salaried position

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in formal coaching positions

· Proficiency in Meet Manager, and Team Manager also internet email

· High level of organizational skills

· Ability to work flexible schedule (nights and weekends)

Responsibilities:

· Instruct swimmers of all ages on the proper stroke, starts and turns techniques for competitive swimming.

· Maintains safety as a top priority.

· Work with Girl’s Head coach to manage the practice/coaches schedule.

· Plans and coordinates activities of coaching assistants.

· Attendance at least 3 practices a week, meets, invitational & championship both division and leagues is required.

· Participate in the club’s fall invitational.

· Create boy’s lineup for all SAL meet in Meet/Team Manager

· Work with the Swim Team Board and Parents. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: attendance at all meetings, communicate relevant information to officers, and parents. Work with groups on special events such as end of seasons banquet, club invitational and swim meets.
